Units of the 1st Cavalry Division celebrated Thanksgiving in Taji, Iraq surrounded by reminders of the combat heritage of the Division in a series of vignettes produced by the Main Support Bn. The tribute pictured was to the soldiers who participated in the Ia Drang Valley campaign during the Vietnam War in 1965. Photos show the dioramas portrayed by division solidiers SGT.Rahsaan Turner [left all photos] and Specialist Joe Oliver [right all photos] and original art work done by Specialist Sean Cox of the 13th Signal Bn. Officer in charge of the presentation was Major Gabriella Pasek [wearing the Stetson].
